Then I used a Fancy Square Embossing Folder
(Acid Drops and Whatnots - free from Papercrafting Essentials)
which I placed around the Image.
Then I die-cut it out using the large Ornate Square Frame
(X-Cut)

I then I heat Embossed Holographic Embossing Powder

(Papermania)
using Watermark Ink
(Versamark)
on to the Fishes, the Seahorse and the Mermaids Lips
(though it is a bit hard to see on the pictures)

For the Embellishments I used some Pearlised Purple Card,

and cut them out on my Brother Scan and Cut using
a Tattered Lace for Scan N Cut USB

New Challenge #172 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hey Everyone,

Yay the snow went and I made it to College
with out any incidents,
though I think the Computers there
are all ganging up on me
as they seem to quit working on me.
And it is always when I'm halfway
through inputting my work.
I end up with a New Business Sage program
that seems to take over a year to get going
(I need to remember when the computer goes off,
change my dates when I restart!!!!!)

Good news as well the Car is now back from the
Car Doctor with a clean bill of health
(and a few new parts).

Anyways this weeks Card was inspired by
one of my favorite Artists of all time
MEATLOAF
and a Song from one of the very 1st Albums I ever bought.
WOLF AT YOUR DOOR

The Theme at
Say It With Music

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Bugaboo who are offering
7 Images from their store

Ike's Art who are offering
a $15 Gift Certificate for their store

Sami Stamps who are offering
a $12 Gift Certificate for their store

My Project this
week is:-
Wolf 3 Digi Stamp
from Ike's Art
(One of our sponsors)
To begin with I used a A4 Sheet of Pearlised Grey Card
(stash)
on which I cut out with my Brother Scan and Cut,
a House Folded Card
(Free SVG File - Birds Cards)
Because it didnt pop as much as I wanted it to
I cut another Front out using Black Card
(stash)
but I made it 2mm bigger than the Grey one.

Behind the Cutout Card Image I used a sheet of Rainbow Parchment
(Blue/Yellow/Grey)
(Gifted to me)
which I thought Lined up perfectly with cutouts of the Image.

For the Door I used the piece that was cut out
and trimmed it down so you can see the 'Light' around it.
And for the Door Handle I used a 2mm Metallic Blue Brad.
(stash)
I raised it up from the main cutout Image with Decoupage Foam Pads.

To accentuate the 'Smoke' rising from the House Chimney
I used my White Pen
(Graph' It - Shake Pen)

Next I printed off the Image
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.
Canary
Tan
Dusky Pink
Ice Grey 1
Ice Grey 2
Ice Grey 3
Ice Grey 4
Ice Grey 5
I then fussy cut the Image out.

For my Sentiment I wrote it out on my Computer
and printed it off.
It is a Quote from the Song
"There's a Wolf at your door,
He says he's playin' for keeps"
(Meatloaf - Wolf At Your Door - Midnight At The Lost And Found)
I then cut it out and rounded the corners off
using a 5mm Corner Punch
(X-Cut)

As a little touch I used a little piece of
Smokey Grey 2cm Satin Ribbon
(Boyes Haberdashery)
which I placed just under the Sentiment.

Finally as a finishing touch I cut out a Circle

out of a scrap of the White Paper
which I dotted with Light Grey and Dark Grey Chalk
(Decorative Pastel Chalks - Dovecraft)
and added it as a Moon in the top Right of the Card.

(stash)
which I covered with Dusky Pink Card.
(stash)
I then layered it up with some Pale Pink Card
(stash)
and Vintage Roses Paper
(Fairy Belle Collection - Jodie Lee Designs)
both of which I distressed the edges ripping and rolling them.

Next I added some Glitter Pink Mesh
(stash)
to the right side of the Card.
And across the Bottom of the Card
I added a strip of 5cm Dusky Pink Lace
(Boyes Haberdashery)
which I ruffled up as I placed it down.

I then printed off the Image

on White DC Paper

And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens:

Satin
Blush

Blossom
Cocktail Pink
Rose Pink

(Hobbycraft)
then on top of that I added a White Satin Leaf,
(Trimits)
3 Pink Paper Roses
(Craft - The Range)
and I handmade the Bow using
1cm Lime Green Organza Ribbon.

New Challenge #171 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hello Again,

Well the White Stuff has finally fallen from the sky
and is laying on the ground.
Arrrggg well that's me stuck inside,
honest I look like Bambi on Ice
when I go out in the Snow.
And the worst thing is I have to go to College tomorrow,
and the Mr's car is in the Garage
so I will have to use the bus and risk walking........
Keeping everything crossed that it melts away quick,
It can come back on Tuesday when I don't have to go anywhere.

Anyway this weeks project is a Card I have made
for my Nephew's 2nd Birthday.
He is just so cute and adorable,
and he also has the most amazing name lol.
Yes he is also called Sam !!!
(well Samuel in full)
Just wish I could see them all more often,
but I'm here in England,
and they are over in Denmark.

My Project this
week is:-
Ollie the Giraffe Digi Stamp
(One of our sponsors)

To begin with I used a A4 Sheet of Burnt Orange Card
(stash)
which I cut into a Triangle with 24cm length sides.
I then Marked off on each side at 12 cm and
connected them to make the inverted center Triangle,
using a Valley Fold.
On each of the 3 outside Triangles,
I then marked off the bottom 3rd and made the Mountain Fold.

Using Orange Giraffe Glitter Paper
(Safari Kids - DCWV)
I cut out Triangles to fit all of the outer 3 corners,
from the fold up.
And on the reverse side I used some Light Orange Card
(Scrap Box)
along the bottom 3rd of the Outer Triangles,
(between the folds)
To make them look less harsh against the Burnt Orange Card,
I lightly distressed the edges of the Light Orange Card
using Antique Linen Distress Ink.
(Tim Holtz)
I also added 6 Orange/Silver Striped Candies
(stash)
to the overlap Corners of the Triangles

Next I printed off the Image twice
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.
Oatmeal
Gold
Honeycomb
Amber
Pumpkin
Mandarin
Burnt Orange
I cut one of the Images out in a Triangle
3mm smaller that the Base Card.
Then I fussy cut the other Image out,
and attached it on top of the triangle Image
using a Mini Card Spring
(Docrafts - Papermania)
so that it pops and bounces around, when the card is opened

For my Sentiments I used the ones that came with the Image,

colouring them with the Mandarin Promarker Pen
and cutting them out by hand.

Finally I added the Orange Letter Buttons
(Trimits Decorative)
'S' 'A' 'M',
one to each of the Light Orange Card Corners
which show when the Card is folded up.

and I would like to say a huge welcome to them,
I am looking forward to crafting with them.

As Promised here is my 2nd Post of the Day.

The Theme at
Our Sponsors this Month are:-

a $10 Gift Certificate for their store

Imagine That! who are offering
a $10 Gift Certificate for their store

Polkadoodles who are offering
a $7.50 Gift Certificate for their store

Smeared Ink who are offering
 Images from their store

My Project this
week is:-
Venice Mask 5 Digi Stamp
from Smeared Ink

To begin with I used a Pre-cut 15cm Black Square Card
(stash)
I cut a 14cm Square of
Matte Gold Card
(stash)
for the next layer.

Next I printed off the Image twice
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.
Ivory
Lipstick Red
Red
Berry Red
Ruby
Poppy
Forest Green
Emerald
Lush Green
Burgandy
Metallic Gold

Then I cut the 1st Image out using my Something New.
Yes, for Christmas this year I got a Brother Scan and Cut
(and it is the best toy EVER!!!!)
I scanned the Coloured Image in and then cut it out.
To the Bells and the fancy
Scroll Work on the Bottom of the Mask
I added Holographic Gold Glitter.
(Glitter Magic)

For the 2nd Image I just cut out the Face of the Mask and the Eyes,
then curled it a bit to give depth and decoupaged it up.

Next I choose a Ribbon Banner
(Pic Monkey.com)
in which I put my own Sentiment 'Masquerade Party'
which I wrote on the Computer.
(Engravers Old English BT)
with fading from Red to Black on the writing.
All Printed out on White DC Paper
Then cut it out in a 13cm Square with the
Banner in the Bottom Right Corner.

Now I tried a brand new Technique (for me)
on the Paper - Brayering.
So using my Roller and Red Ink
(it's a small Pad and I'm not to sure where I got it from)
and proceeded to get very messy building my layers up
till I was happy with the fade.

For a Festive/Party touch I added
1 strip of Green and 2 strips of Red and Gold
Wrapping Ribbons
(left over from Christmas)
which I curled and fixed together.
To add them securely to the card I used a
Red Metallic Spiral Brad
(stash)

And in the very bottom right of the Card
I added a 1cm Patterned Rhinestone.
(stash)

Finally for my finishing touch
I added Glossy Accents.
(Range)
to all the Bells, the Face of the Mask
and to the front facing parts of the Ribbon.

The Mask is a Base Shape
(The Range)
which was given a couple of layers of  White Paint.
Then when dried Red, Green and Gold Paints were used.
(all from Bob Ross Acrylic Paint Range)_
Black Promarker Pen was used to emphasis the 'Fake Crack'
down the Mask face.
The design was made by my Partner.

New Challenge #170 at Glitter N Sparkle

Good Morning,
and welcome to my 1st post of the day,
Where we are saying Hello to the New Year (2016)
and Goodbye to the old (2015)

Think I am finally coming to grips with all the
changes that are happening in my life.
Finding the happy balance between responsibilities and fun.

I am also regretting the New Years Resolutions I made.
How many people make them then within a week
have given them all up and gone back to normality.
Really sometimes we expect ourselves to do miracles,
instead of setting realistic goals to achieve.
(though to be fair both of mine are realistic,
just so hard to keep the willpower going).

Anyway on with the crafting,
at least that keeps my mind busy
and off the other stuff lol xx

The Theme at
Tic-Tac-Toe

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Digital Delights who are offering
a $5 Gift Certificate for their store

Pattie's Creations who are offering
3 Images from their store

SLS Lines who are offering
3 Images from their store

My Project this
week is:-
1920's Flapper Charlestone Dancer Digi Stamp
from SLS Lines
(One of our sponsors)
My line is Distress/Button/Glitter

To begin with I used a A4 Sheet of Pearlised Champagne Card
(stash)
which I cut out an Art Deco Fan Base Shape.
(Brother Scan and Cut )
Using the rest of the Card I cut it into a 14cm x 20cm Rectangle.
Then folded it into 3 parts, at 5cm.and 10cm,
to make the Easel Card Base.

Next I cut out the Art Deco Fan Frame

from Metallic Gold Card,
(stash)
1mm smaller than the Base Shape.
(Brother Scan and Cut )

Next I printed off the Image
on White DC Paper
And coloured it in using my Promarker Pens.
Ivory
Satin
Putty
Dusky Rose
Pear Green
Sunflower
Cinnamon
Cocoa
Walnut
Burnt Sienna
Cool Grey 5
Black
Metallic Gold
Then I fussy cut the Image out.
To make the Dress Sparkle and Shimmer I added
Crystal Glamour Dust Glitter.
(Deco Art)

To make the Distressed Backgrounds I cut out 2 Rectangles

from White DC Paper,
6cm x 8.5cm and 4cm x 13cm.
Then I used a sponge to drag and distress the Inks on the Paper.
I used Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Vintage Photo
and Walnut Stain Inks
(all Tim Holtz Distress Inks).
I then cut them to fit in the places I wanted them to be.
For the outside parts of the Fan
I just used the Inks straight onto the Card.

So the Card would stand up, I used a strip of
4cm Sparkle Gold and Walnut Ribbon
(Boyes Haberdashery)
Which I wrapped around a spare strip of the
Champagne Card and stuck to the bottom of the Card,
so that I made a lip for the Easel to rest against.

Finally I added 2 Brown Duck Feathers
(Trimits Decorative)
over the top and I secured them with a Beige Button.
(my Button Box)

I'd like to enter this Card in the
